In the 1970s, Bob Colacello received considerable recognition as editor of Interview Magazine. He went on to author the highly praised, Ronnie and Nancy: Their Path to the White House, 1911-1980 and a memoir of Andy Warhol in the 70s and early 80s, Holy Terror: Andy Warhol Close Up, which was critiqued by the New York Times, as the "best-written and the most killingly observed" book on the subject. Colacello's work was featured in the group exhibition titled "Generations Collide" in 2010 at Tripoli Gallery. Here, he revealed a rare series of vintage photographic prints from his publication, OUT, which captures the art and social scene of the late 70s and early 80s. His work has also been shown at Steven Kasher Gallery, New York; Mary Boone Gallery, New York; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao, Spain; Art Gallery of Onatario, Canada; Barbican Centre, London; and Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna.
